Costume ideas and planning

We both thought through the costume ideas very carefully, and as the narrative of our music videos include flash backs of the past as well as sequences of the present, we decided it would be a good idea to use a variety of different clothes and outfits to represent the differences in emotion as well as showing a passing of time. We decided that the use of brightly coloured and exposing clothing would be an ideal outfit for when the couple are happy, so it reflects their mood and the good times they shared together. We also thought that by dressing our characters up in dull, plain clothes once they have broken up, again reflects their emotions and emphasises to the audience that they make no effort and don't care about their appearance now that they are no longer together and heart broken.
