Plot of music video

The pitch outline for our official music video is about a distressed woman who has lost her lover and is journeying to the beach to spread his ashes. The opening sequence of the music video is  a scene of the main character in the bath which is artistically stimulating and links with the lyrics "drowned you out". This could also make the audience question whether the character is suicidal. The next shots is of her walking to the car on her way to the beach, this is a build up of the story and we feel this could make the audience feel connected with the character and add suspense. When the main character gets to the beach we will have shots of her looking depressed and gazing into the distance as she reminisces. The lyrics insinuate that this couple were very close, however when he was alive she took advantage of him and didn't realise what she had till she lost it. We then will have a shot of her throwing the ashes in the sea and walking off into the distance. Our final shot will either be the bath scene again as it connects with the lyrics, or a shot of her walking off into the distance in slow motion which symbolises her slowly moving on with her life.
